Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 29 September 2026

iwantam is a marketplace where buyers post what they want and vendors respond with offers. iwantam is operated by 9JAGLOBALMEDIA LIMITED, RC 9755058, of 2 Atbara Street, Wuse 2, Abuja, FCT, Nigeria ("iwantam", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using iwantam you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use iwantam.

1. Who can use iwantam

1.1 You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract under the laws that apply to you.

1.2 You must give true, current information and keep it updated. One person may hold only one account unless we agree otherwise in writing.

1.3 You sign in with a one time code sent to your email. You are responsible for everything done through your account. Keep access to your email secure and tell us at once at support@iwantam.com if you think someone else has used your account.

1.4 Before you can post a request, send or accept an offer, buy credits or get verified, you must complete your profile with your full name, nickname, email, phone number, country, state or region, city and street address.

2. How iwantam works

2.1 Buyers post requests describing an item or service they want. Posting a request is free.

2.2 Vendors respond to requests with an offer that states the price, delivery fee, condition, delivery time and payment method. An accepted offer becomes the bill for that transaction.

2.3 The contract is between buyer and vendor. When a buyer accepts an offer, a contract of sale is formed directly between the buyer and the vendor. iwantam is not the seller, does not own or inspect the goods, and is not a party to that contract.

2.4 iwantam is available in many countries. Prices on a request and its offers are shown in the currency the buyer chooses. Buyers and vendors are responsible for any customs duties, import rules, taxes and delivery arrangements that apply to their deal.

2.5 Free items. A vendor may offer an item for free by setting the item price to 0 and confirming that they are giving it away. A free offer may still include a delivery fee. By confirming, the vendor agrees not to ask the buyer for payment for the item later.

2.6 Paying and getting paid. Buyers pay vendors directly, and vendors collect their own money. iwantam does not receive, hold, pass on or refund payments between users, and does not guarantee that a buyer will pay or that a vendor will deliver. You are responsible for checking who you deal with, agreeing clear payment terms, and inspecting goods before paying where the offer allows. Never pay or deliver outside what was agreed on iwantam, and report any problem within 14 days.

3. Offer credits and fees

3.1 Vendors use offer credits to send offers. Each offer uses one credit. New vendors may receive free credits at our discretion.

3.2 Credits are bought in packs at the prices shown on iwantam, in Naira for users in Nigeria and in US dollars elsewhere. Payments are processed by Flutterwave. Prices include any applicable VAT unless stated otherwise.

3.3 Credits are added once Flutterwave confirms your payment. Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred or sold, and are not refundable once used. Unused credits may be refunded within 14 days of purchase on request, less any payment charges. A credit is not returned if you withdraw an offer or if the buyer chooses another vendor.

3.4 We may change credit prices or pack sizes. Changes will not affect credits you have already bought.

3.5 The fee for the Verified badge is set out in the Verified Badge Policy.

4. Buyer responsibilities

4.1 Describe what you want honestly and clearly.

4.2 Only accept an offer you intend to complete. Check the item on delivery before paying where the offer allows payment on delivery.

4.3 Confirm receipt promptly and rate vendors fairly, only after a real transaction.

5. Vendor responsibilities

5.1 Only offer goods or services you have, own or are authorised to sell, and describe them accurately, including whether they are brand new, foreign used or locally used.

5.2 Honour the price, delivery fee and delivery time in your offer once it is accepted.

5.3 Deliver goods that match your description and comply with the law where you sell and where you deliver, including product safety, standards and consumer protection rules.

5.4 Keep your bank details correct. You are responsible for any taxes due on your sales.

6. Prohibited items and conduct

6.1 You must not use iwantam to buy, sell or request anything illegal in Nigeria or in the country of the buyer or vendor, including drugs, weapons and ammunition, stolen goods, counterfeit or pirated goods, human remains, wildlife products, prescription medicines without the required authorisation, or any adult or sexual services.

6.2 You must not post false, misleading, abusive, hateful or defamatory content, impersonate anyone, harass other users, collect other users' data for your own marketing, share contact details in chat to avoid the platform before an offer is accepted, or try to move a transaction off iwantam in order to defraud someone.

6.3 You must not interfere with iwantam's systems, scrape the platform, or try to access accounts or data that are not yours.

7. Verified badge

7.1 The Verified badge means we have confirmed the identity of the account holder to the level described in the Verified Badge Policy. It is not a guarantee of the quality of goods, the honesty of a person, or the outcome of any transaction.

7.2 We may suspend or remove a badge in line with the Verified Badge Policy.

8. Disputes between users

8.1 If something goes wrong with a transaction, first contact the other user through iwantam.

8.2 If you cannot resolve it, report it through the Report button or to support@iwantam.com within 14 days of the expected delivery date. We will review the messages and records on iwantam and may suspend accounts, remove badges or share information with law enforcement where the law allows.

8.3 We are not obliged to resolve disputes between users or to refund money paid between users, because we do not hold those funds.

9. Suspension and closing accounts

9.1 We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, is linked to fraud or a credible complaint, or where the law requires it. Where it is safe to do so, we will tell you why.

9.2 You may ask to close your account at any time. Account deletion is handled as set out in the Privacy Policy, including review and approval by a super administrator.

10. Content you post

10.1 You keep ownership of what you post, including photos. You give iwantam a free, non exclusive, worldwide licence to display, store and share it on iwantam for the purpose of running the marketplace.

10.2 We may remove content that breaks these Terms or the law.

11. Liability

11.1 iwantam is provided as it is. We do our best to keep it available and accurate but cannot promise it will always be error free.

11.2 To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from transactions between buyers and vendors, including goods that are late, faulty, not as described or not delivered, or payments sent to a vendor.

11.3 Where we are liable, our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid to iwantam in the 12 months before the claim.

11.4 Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018 or any other consumer law that cannot be excluded by contract.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will give at least 14 days notice of material changes by email or on iwantam. If you keep using iwantam after the change takes effect, the new Terms apply.

13. Governing law and disputes with iwantam

13.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

13.2 If you have a dispute with iwantam, contact us first at support@iwantam.com. If it is not resolved within 30 days, either side may refer it to mediation in Abuja, and failing that to the courts of the Federal Capital Territory. You may also complain to the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, or to the consumer authority in your own country where the law gives you that right.
